ECOSAT: Chemical speciation and mass transport in soil-water systems
Description
ECOSAT (version 4.7) is a computer program for the calculation of chemical speciation and mass transport in soil-water systems.ECOSAT has been developed by the Department of Soil Quality.
ECOSAT is a computer program which can be used to calculate the chemical equilibrium composition of soil-water systems, depending on speciation and transport. With speciation we mean the distribution of components in the system over all possible phases and forms (species), including complexes, gases, minerals, organic liquids ((D)NAPL) and adsorbed components.
Coordination: M.G. Keizer and prof. W.H. van Riemsdijk.
Besides speciation (single run and multiple run), ECOSAT can compute 1-dimensional and semi-2 dimensional stationary water or gas transport (multi component transport). Both speciation and transport calculations can include slow mass transfer (reaction kinetics).
In combination with FIT (a parameter fitting program) you can use ECOSAT to fit model parameters.
