2018/23
Welcome to the March issue of EVISA's Speciation Newsletter !

We would like to take the opportunity to report about the development of EVISA, its user community and its web portal. We are proud to be able to report, that after 15 years of our presence, we again could increase the number of visitors of our website to more than 1.7 Million for the year 2017. These users have in average viewed 7-8 pages of content on our site. Last month we could welcome the 11 Millionth visitor (see the news below).

Unfortunately, some ranking sites (including google) have frequently downgraded our site because of format and other formal issues. One of the issues is related to unfair behavior of some of our users, which is forcing us to change our policy (see the note to our registered users below).

The EVISA web portal is meant to inform about all aspects of trace element and speciation analysis. Instrumentation is one important topic. EVISA's Instrument database is listing the instruments used for elemental and speciation analysis. Thermo Scientific just recently announced the launch of a new iCAP TQs instrument, an ICP-MS system dedicated for the semiconductor market (see the news below).

EVISA is acting also as an organizer/co-organizer for workshops, symposia and conferences. The next workshop is dedicated to Laser Bioimaging Mass Spectrometry. Abstract submission is open to the end of the month. For more details visit the workshop homepage at: https://speciation.net/event/BIMS2018

NEWS

EVISA is keeping you updated with what is going on in speciation analysis. In this section you will find news about the most current research results, about trends, legal issues and information from manufacturers in the field of speciation analysis.

With all the links to further information and publications the News archive is a valuable collection of "hot topics" in speciation analysis. We continuously update even former news with new links and information so that all news are actual all the time.

Note to our registered users
EVISA is proud of having a faithfully user community that has produced more than 1.7 Mio visits last year and is a strong motivation to continue our work dedicated to inform about all important aspects of trace element and speciation analysis. Despite this fact, our reputation as a reliable information source is sometimes questioned by ranking systems, claiming to having identified the EVISA servers as a SPAM source.

DIRECTORY

EVISA's directory of scientist is a versatile tool to facilitate contact with scientists in the field of speciation and related sciences. The directory is fully searchable for names, addresses, research topics etc.  You should bookmark this directory as an always up-to-date address book. (In order to hinder SPAM robots for collecting the E-mail accounts, we hide them in a special format).

More than 290 active scientists in the field of speciation analysis already joined the directory. Join this great directory that is extensively linked to all type of other information on this site, such as homepages, conferences and literature.

If your entry is still missing in this directory, please contact us at info@speciation.net.
