The Dairy Industry Association of Australia (DIAA) is the dairy industry\'s professional organisation. Our membership reflects the diversity of the industry: It includes people in scientific research, processing, marketing, administration, education and training, product development, engineering, technology and promotion.
The DIAA Mission
To promote excellence in the Australian dairy industry by providing a forum for communication, continuing education, professional growth, recognition and fellowship for all members, sectors and participant organisations involved with the dairy industry
The Structure
The DIAA is governed by Federal Council, which meets annually to set the policy of the Association. The Council is made up of 3 representatives nominated from each Division plus the Federal President, Treasurer and Secretary. Council also invites participation from the Chair of the Publications Subcommittee and other guests relevant to the agenda of the meeting.
The Federal Management Committee and the National Executive Officer conduct the overall management of the Association. Each Division elects a member to the Management Committee. The members usually serve a six-year term, advancing through to a term as President of the Association. The Treasurer and Secretary are ex-officiary members of the Committee.
Each Division through its elected Executive independently conducts the Association\'s affairs as appropriate to that State.
