Birla Institute of Scientific Research (BISR) was established in realization of the dreams of visionary industrialist Mr Braj Mohan Birla. It is involved in fostering and promoting various aspects of Science and Technology and has multi-functional activities. Apart from Research and Development, it promotes science through Museum and Planetarium. It also has state of the art Convention Facility.
BISR is recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The Institute has emerged as a key centre for the promotion of science, art and culture under the patronage and leadership of Mrs and Mr Ganga Prasad Birla and Mrs and Mr Chandra Kant Birla.
