Wohleb Scientific, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Robert Wohleb, co-founder of J&W Scientific, with the goal of improving sample preparation techniques for chromatographic analysis. Sample preparation (SP) is still one of the most time-consuming, error-prone aspects in analytical chemistry. Because analytical instruments are incapable of analyzing samples in their raw form, SP is an especially important step in all analyses. Surveys show that more than 80% of analysis time is spent on sample collection and preparation. Current SP procedures are time-consuming, multi-step processes, in which each step is prone to error or loss of analytes. Additionally, if an unsuitable SP method is employed prior to chromatographic analysis, the entire analysis will be wasted.
We aim to reduce the amount of time and money spent on SP, while simultaneously avoiding complex multi-step procedures which are prone to error, or loss of analytes.
We are located in the victorian village of Ferndale, along California's Lost Coast.
