The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) advances biological science through collaborative advocacy for research policies that promote scientific progress and education and lead to improvements in human health. Founded in 1912 by three societies, FASEB has consistently provided educational meetings and publications to disseminate biological research results. The then six Member Societies met in 1989 to alter its focus and to reaffirm its mission.
