Turpion Limited is a not-for-profit publisher established by The Royal Society of Chemistry in association with Pion Ltd, a publishing house involved with The Royal Society of Chemistry for over forty years. Since 2004 Turpion Ltd has been owned by Pion Ltd and the Institute of Physics Publishing Ltd. The intention of this company Turpion Limited is to produce high-quality English translations of leading Russian scientific journals promptly and, further, to produce new concepts for Russian scientific publishing – a result of effective cooperation between the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Physics, the London Mathematical Society, and The Royal Society of Chemistry. This essentially academic Joint Venture is developing its electronic publishing for the future. Already it provides a full electronic service for its subscribers, together with an electronic archive.
