Mission Statement: To maintain contact between and to represent mycologists, to promote the discipline of mycology and to encourage and facilitate the study and conservation of Australasian fungi. First established in 1993 the Australian Mycological Society was incorporated in 1995 as the Australasian Mycological Society Inc. The Society aims to cover the range of interests in mycology, for example, taxonomy, ecology, conservation, plant pathology and medical mycology.
