Spectron manufactures ICP-MS cones for all instruments and is an OEM supplier to the majority of top equipment makers. Manufacturing cones since 1988, Spectron has sold more cones than any other manufacturer and has a solid reputation for quality, service and price. Spectron platinum cones can be a good value for many applications. Large Pt/10%Rh inserts are used for improved lifetimes and optimum thermal characteristics. In addition to a lower initial purchase price than from other sources, Spectron is the only source for free unlimited refurbishing that can significantly improve lifetimes and lower overall cone costs per hour run. When the cones are no longer serviceable, Spectron will give you credit for the platinum at the current market price. Spectron will also refurbish platinum cones from other sources at a nominal charge. Check under Prices for these costs as well as cone prices for various instruments.
