VGB was already founded in 1920 as the federation of the owners of large boilers (Verband der Großkessel-Besitzer e. V., abbreviated VGB).
During its course of 80 years VGB has set off a range of activities
in own companies, which are predominantly led by the managing director
of VGB.
These companies are dealing with:
- training of power plant personnel,
- research activities and
- the production and distribution of print products
