Description
The 'Journal of Soils and Sediments – Protection, Risk Assessment, and Remediation' (official abbreviation: JSS – J Soils & Sediments) has been founded in 2001 as part of the ScientificJournals' family published by ecomed verlag Landsberg/Bavaria, Germany (http://www.scientificjournals.com/sj/jss/startseite). These journals share two features: 1. The interdisciplinarity, and 2. the specific mixture of articles consisting of scientific papers as there are research articles, review articles, case studies, commentaries, discussion and opinion papers, and of magazine-like papers such as editorials, letters to the editor, book reviews, reports from research and technology, and from policy and legislation, conference reports and announcements, news concerning latest trends and developments. JSS – Aims and Scope. JSS is the first journal entirely devoted to soils and sediments, hereby dealing not only with contaminated, but also with intact and disturbed soils and sediments. JSS elucidates the common aspects as well as the differences between these two environmental compartments. JSS is an interdisciplinary journal intended to be of benefit to the scientist as well as to the practitioner.
