Integrated Environmental Assessment and Management (IEAM) is devoted to bridging the gap between scientific research and the use of science in decision-making, regulation, and environmental management. IEAM aims to be one of the premier scientific journals for presenting data, promoting dialogue, and fostering improved application of environmental research and lessons learned to regulatory policy and law, environmental management strategies, and sound approaches to environmental problem-solving.
Because regulatory considerations and social values are integral to environmental assessment and management, IEAM will provide a much-needed forum to discuss the implications of scientific information for rulemaking and industry management practices and to consider alternative approaches to regulatory decision-making. Its editors will encourage scientific, social, and regulatory debate through invited papers, original research, commentaries, legal and policy analyses, and case studies. IEAM will thereby hold a unique position in the peer-reviewed literature, focusing on this evolving collaborative and complex field by offering perspectives from diverse disciplines and a variety of stakeholders.
IEAM will publish reports from around the globe and from industry, academia, government, and nongovernmental organizations.
