Liquid nitrogen no longer required thanks to thermoelectric cooling system!
Kratos/Shimadzu introduces a new bench top energy dispersive x-rayfluorescence spectrometer. The new EDX-900 (an evolution of the popular EDX-700/800 series) has been designed with a thermoelectrically cooled silicon drift detector (LN2 not required).
The instrument maintains the energy resolution of Si(Li) detectors and operates at just10°C while handling count rates up to 106cps.
A 300mm sample chamber, automated collimators, a CCD camera and an R-Theta stage are also now available options.
