Superior Performance and Reliable Results Fast!
Experience the fast, efficient and safe advantages of microwave-based solvent extraction with the MARS System for Extraction. Increase your laboratory\'s productivity with our fast, cost-effective alternative to conventional methods that is safe for the operator and the environment.
Shorter extraction times
Reduced solvent consumption
Improved recoveries
The MARS helps your laboratory practice green chemistry and reduce its solvent usage. Perform over 500 microwave extractions using the same amount of solvent you would normally use for only 32 Soxhlet extractions. Methods that involve nonpolar solvents may be easily used without any additional solvents, as CEM\'s Carboflon® stir bars allow you to perform extractions without any change to your current solvent scheme.
Temperature and pressure feedback options provide precise control over reactions, ensuring safe operating conditions and accurate results.
Official Methods
The MARS for Extraction meets requirements for the following SW-846 extraction methods:
USEPA Method 3200
Proposed USEPA Method 3546
The government of Canada has granted a license to CEM Corporation allowing MARS users to perform microwave-assisted processes (MAPT) for extraction. The MAP technology and trademark are the property of the Canadian government. This license is protected by patent #5,458,897 issued October 17, 1995 to the assignee, Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of the Environment, Gloucester, Canada.
