There has recently been a surge in reflection and absorption measurements on solid-samples, including semiconductors, thin films, glass materials, and solar heat reflective and absorbent materials. A monochromator with high-energy output is demanded for such measurements, as the integrating sphere normally used results in significant reduction in light intensity due to scattering from the sphere surface. The UV-3150 features a high-efficiency, high-performance double-monochromator system that easily meets these energy-output demands.
Windows-compatible multi-function UVProbe software is installed as standard. UVProbe is state-of-the-art software that is compatible with GLP and offers comprehensive QA/QC support. UVProbe handles a variety of applications from quality control to research.
Features
Software compatible with latest Windows* versions
Software runs under the latest 32-bit operating systems, including Windows 2000/NT/98/95.
Wide measurement wavelength range
High-sensitivity spectrophotometry across the entire UV-VIS-NIR wavelength range from 190 nm to 3200 nm handles diverse applications.
High-resolution, low-stray-light double monochromator
The unique six-grating system achieves low-noise optics with superb 0.1 nm resolution and below 0.00005% stray light (at 340 nm).
Extensive range of 40 accessories
With the addition of the multipurpose large-sample compartment and integrating sphere attachment, measurement is possible over the wavelength range from 240 to 2600 nm, permitting the measurement of solid samples, such as semiconductors and new materials. The ASR Series absolute specular reflectance attachments, world’s first to be guaranteed for measurement precision, are also available. Other accessories, including sippers, auto samplers, constant-temperature cells, and ultra micro cells, handle a wide range of measuring applications.
Flexible report layout
Freely incorporate graphs and data into reports. Change the font size and the thickness and color of graph lines. Add labels to graphs.
Save report layouts as templates for one-touch recall and printing.
Quantitation with user-defined functions
Quantitative measurements for niche applications are based on some previously determined expressions using data for multiple designated wavelengths. Previous software required data to be exported to a program such as Excel for processing. However, UVProbe allows expressions to be defined for the entire measurement environment from quantitation calculations to the printout of results.
Functions for relatively common measurements, such as protein quantitation and DNA analysis, are pre-installed as methods.
Built-in Pass/Fail evaluation
The Pass/Fail evaluation of measured results for a sample according to a defined evaluation expression is an extremely useful function for quality control departments. The high-performance UV-3150 is used for the quality control of optical elements.
The high-efficiency double-monochromator, which was first used in the UV-3100 Series, switches two sets of blazed holographic gratings.
