In an automated, round-the-clock sample preparation system, a large number of used sample vials are accumulated. Cleaning these vials in an ultratrace laboratory is both time-consuming and personnel-intensive. With a specially modified autosampler in combination with an automatic dispenser, the necessary rinsing solutions and high-purity water are pumped in and out under full computer control.
