The Axios-Petro is specially configured to meet the needs of XRF analysis in the petrochemical industry – today and in the future.
It is the fastest and most sensitive wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (WDXRF) spectrometer currently available for the petrochemical industry.
Consequently, it enables you to perform routine chemical analysis more quickly, efficiently, and accurately than ever before. As a sequential XRF system for all XRF applications, the Axios-Petro handles analyses including:
- determination of sulfur in all kinds of petroleum products
- monitoring of Fe, Na, Sb and K as process efficiency indicators
- monitoring of additives and stabilizers in lubricating oils
- regular wear metal analysis in lubricants
- determination of S, Ni, Cl and V levels in waste oil
- analysis of petroleum coke
Axios-Petro is constructed for tough industrial environments and delivers unrivaled reliability guaranteed by PANalytical's global support and maintenance structure. It is simple to operate and the compact design is easily integrated into today's laboratories.
Axios-Petro incorporates a dedicated version of PANalytical's SuperQ software, featuring a wide range of application set-ups for the petrochemical industry including worked examples and methods.
The SuperQ QuickStart module makes routine analysis as simple as placing a sample on the spectrometer. The measurement medium is selected automatically and sensors prevent the loading of liquids when the system is under vacuum.
Although the Axios-Petro is configured to meet industry requirements, it is easily upgradeable with:
- IQ+, for complete standardless analysis of unknowns
- Curved crystals, to improve analytical performance in the range of Al to Cl
- Duplex detector, to improve the precision for transition metals
