Thermal Analysis: TGA |
The thermal balance measures the change of mass (G) of a sample in function of the temperature (T).
With the TGA 502 the weighing system is positioned below the furnace. The balance is highly sensitive and has a stable behaviour by dynamic gas, furthermore it shows an excellent long-term stability with high temperatures.
For different temperature ranges there are disc- and tube furnaces available. The disc furnaces shows an excellent temperature profile by using two disc shaped heating elements which are positioned above and below the sample. The temperature range is around -160°C and 1720°C. With the tube furnaces the heating elements are bifilar and extraordinary long to gain a homogenous temperature profile. Here the temperature range is between -160°C and 2400°C.
The entire electronics operates digitally and with an own processor system to control and regulate the furnace, the measuring data recording, the gas supply, the vacuum unit and the safety devices.
The professional 32-Bit software WinTA 9.0 runs under Windows®98, ME, 2000, NT4.0, XP. An extensive software accurately and efficiently deals with both routine tasks and complex evaluations. Export functions as tables in the ASCII and Excel format as well as a graphic file out in the formats BMP, JPG, TIF, EMF etc. enable a cross-platform work.
