The Sample and Fraction Manager (SFM TM ) is a combined autosampler and fraction collector with unmatched capacity and versatility. Its unique dual-arm design allows analytical and preparative scale injections with dedicated injection syringes, valves, and flow paths. The SFM is capable of collecting fractions and preparing the next injection (including wash cycles) in parallel. This operation mode reduces the overall cycle time and increases the throughput on your purification system. | | Overlapping Sample Preparation
Shorten cycle times preparing the next injection while collecting fractions from the current run. Overlapping sample preparation is possible with the SFM. The instrument has two independently movable arms, the right arm for preparative injections and the left for fraction collection and analytical injections. This design allows your SFM sufficient time to wash the injection needle and injection valve, and prepare the next injection without extending the cycle time. The right arm performs these operations while the left arm continues to collect fractions. The result is short cycle times and zero sample carryover. | | Tandem Operation
The SFM features two completely separated flow paths. Thanks to the dual-arm design, dedicated valves, and syringes, even high-concentrated samples can never contaminate low-concentrated fractions. Additionally, while performing fraction collection and sample preparation, the SFM can carry out as many wash cycles as needed without extending your run times. The dual-wash station also facilitates rinsing with different solvents. | | Zero Sample or Fraction Carryover
The SFM features two completely separated flow paths. Thanks to the dual-arm design, dedicated valves, and syringes, even high-concentrated samples can never contaminate low-concentrated fractions. Shorten you cycle times and increase your sample throughput by equipping the SFM with the Tandem Operation Kit. In tandem mode, cycle times are shortened by equilibrating one column while the other one is used simultaneously for sample purification. As soon as the purification run is completed, the columns are switched and the next preparative sample can immediately be injected. |
