The ECA series of NMR spectrometers is designed for the laboratory needing a high performance, research NMR system. The ECA NMR is available from 300 to 920 MHz field strengths. The system is designed around a modular digital NMR electronics chassis controlled from a high-performance Unix workstation and data acquisition system. The workstation and acquisition control system may be connected to a standard network allowing for seamless remote operation worldwide over the Internet or corporate Intranet.
The ECA system basic configuration consists of two broadband transmitters with one high frequency and one low frequency amplifier. The ECA can be expanded with up to 10 broadband RF transmitters and 6 RF amplifiers. Every transmitter has an integrated waveform generator for phase, frequency and amplitude control. The basic ECA system also includes Z-axis pulsed field gradient amplifier and gradient probe.
The ECA NMR system is controlled by the JEOL DELTA NMR software package. The DELTA software offers the user multiple levels of instrument control ranging from "one-button" macro automation up to full-access "hands-on" operation. A suite of predefined NMR automation experiment macros for data collection and processing is provided with each system. The DELTA software is also available for personal computers (Windows 2000 and Windows® XP).
A wide variety of optional attachments is available and includes 3-axis pulsed field gradients, automatic sample changers, inverse detection, deuterium decoupling, solid-state CP-MAS probes and RF amplifiers. A large selection of specialized triple nucleus NMR probes is also available.
