Included in this new series, a purpose-built model for mining and corrosive environments—the ProspectorPlus.
Employing a patented light source technology, the ProspectorPlus addresses new levels of performance, simplicity and cost savings. The patented Application Source is configured to provide line spectra for specific applications in fields such as environmental, mining and petroleum. In addition, the Application Source can be configured to meet the customer's specific requirement.
Simplicity is a key to this instrument. With a flick of the wrist the user selects the next element and continues with their work-it's that easy and truly seamless. While providing a unique user interface, the Application Source also offers dramatic savings in source lamp costs and the high intensity D2 lamp offers enhanced operation of up to 1000 hours, even at full current. In addition, the ProspectorPlus has provision for conventional hollow cathode lamps, enabling laboratories to deplete surplus stock.
It goes without saying, the ProspectorPlus offers stringent specifications for harsh environments. The design of the instruments body ensures total protection from attack in corrosive, humid or dust-filled environments. To guarantee its longevity, specialised seals protect against dust, vapour and liquid spillage.
