The GDA 750 is designed to analyze up to 62 elements in boundary
layers of metallic materials in the laboratory. In addition, it
measures the concentration change of the elements in the surface with
the highest sensitivity and precision. Coatings can be measured down to
a depth of about 200 µm. The obtainable resolution is one atomic layer
on the surface and 10% relative in deeper regions. Using specifically
developed software, the coating density and mass can be determined in
addition to the chemical composition.
Using
the HF-glow discharge lamp the GDA 750 can be equipped for the analysis
of ceramics and glasses. When combined with sample handling systems,
custom made automated sample analysis is possible. This is especially
helpful if multiple series of samples must be processed automatically
without continuous manual intervention.
