Simultaneous Liquid and Powder Dispensing
LIPOS is a liquid and dry powder distribution system with the full liquid handling capabilities of a normal pipetting station.
Two (LIPOS 2 + 1) or four (LIPOS 4 + 1) variable spacing probes deliver, aspirate, mix etc. volumes from 1µl to millilitres, while the powder pipette can simultaneously distribute fixed or variable amounts of dry materials such as powders, resins, salts, etc.
With this, LIPOS opens up new dimensions in workbench automation for synthesis and sample preparation.
It can fill reactors with solids for organic and inorganic synthesis (e.g. resins, salts and oxides). It can prepare SPE plates, add magnetic beads, freeze-dried antibodies or enzymes etc. for separation and purification.
LIPOS is ideal for applications where liquid reagents and samples are combined with solid samples or reagents.
With the optional robotic arm, plates and vials can also be transported. It is simple to operate as all functions are controlled by Windows® software and can be linked into existing networks.
