Data Trace was originally founded in 1985 by Dr. Herbert E. Fried and Dr. David L. Reicher as a publisher of scientific, technical and medical periodicals and related products with the formation of Data Trace Medical Publishers, Inc. In 1988, Data Trace Chemistry Publishers, Inc. and Data Trace Chiropractic Publishers, Inc. were formed, and in 1991, Data Trace Legal Publishers, Inc. was formed with Alan Richard Sachs, Esq. joining the company as a principal. Early in 1996 all of the companies were merged to form the single entity Data Trace Publishing Company.
Data Trace Publishing Company has developed a corporate culture believed to be vastly different from other publishing companies.
