About Institute...
The Institute of Oncology is founded 1965.
It is financed by the Republic fund for health insurance, in accordance with its programme.
The Institute has following departments:
Clinical Departments
Medical oncology clinic: endocrinology dpt., gastroenterohepatology dpt., hematology dpt., immunology dpt., soft tissue and
skin tumours dpt., chemotherapy dpt., daily hospital (outpatient dpt. and chemotherapy dpt.), clinical trials centre, center for
peripheral blood steam cell (PBSC) transplantation
Surgery clinic: surgery dpt., gynecology dpt., intensive care and anesthesia dpt., clinical pathology dpt.
Nuclear medicine department: thyroid outpatient dpt., therapeutic block
Radiotherapy department: radio inpatient dpt., radio outpatient dpt., brachytherapy dpt., medical physics dpt.
Rehabilitation department: early rehabilitation oncological patients after surgery (position upper and lower extremities, anti-
decubital program, breathing exercises), rehabilitation of oncology patients after surgery (breast cancer, colorectal cancer,
laryngeal cancer, brain cancer, etc.) radiotherapy and chemiotherapy

Center for imaging diagnostics: MRI, CT, US, in vivo MR spectroscopy, mammography
Department for experimental oncology
Department for epidemiology: demographic and hospital registration
