The International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) is a scientific organization made up of researchers studying the Laurentian Great Lakes and other large lakes of the world, as well as those with an interest in such research. Specifically, we
- promote all aspects of large lakes research; and
- communicate research findings through publications and meetings.
To support these objectives, we
- hold an Annual Conference, attended by hundreds of Great Lakes researchers;
- publish the Journal of Great Lakes Research, an interdisciplinary scientific journal with four issues per year; and
- give out several Awards and Scholarships to recognize excellence in Great Lakes research.
