NRC Research Press is the foremost scientific publisher in Canada and one of the most advanced electronic publishing services in the world. Since 1929 NRC has been publishing peer-reviewed international science with support from members of the Canadian scientific community. They provide editorial and scientific expertise to select top-quality manuscripts for publication in the journals and books published by NRC Research Press.
NRC Research Press journals
NRC Research Press publishes 16 journals in all scientific disciplines. More than 2000 manuscripts are published each year, and there are no page charges to authors. All journals are available online full-text, and accessible online before print publication. The journals are "hybrid open access" — offering authors, institutions or funders the opportunity to open access to individual articles through one-time payment of a fee.
Monographs and other books
Book publishing, introduced in 1994, has grown into a successful enterprise, with approximately 8 to 10 books launched annually in various scientific disciplines. The Monograph Editorial Board, made up of distinguished scientists, receives an increasing number of high-quality manuscripts each year.
Publishing services
NRC Research Press is on the forefront of new publishing and distribution technologies. This expertise is available to scientific societies and other not-for-profit organizations that want to produce technically advanced materials for their clients and to expose scientific publications to a global audience.
