Near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is one of the powerful new methods for rapid analysis and most analysts are aware of its potential. However, few analysts have received any education in NIR spectroscopy and, until now, they have had to rely on instrument companies for advice on the application of NIR analysis. Norwich Near Infrared Consultancy was established in 1989 to provide a complete and independent service to cover all aspects of NIR analysis. Over the twelve years companies both large and small have benefited from the service. The demand continues to grow as more companies learn to appreciate the benefits of NIR analysis but often lack the technical expertise to establish NIR analysis in their environment.
