RA Chilton ICPMS Cones - welcome

At RA Chilton we are able to produce high efficiency, long lasting ICPMS sampler and skimmer cones due to our ability to combine electroforming and CNC machining. We optimise designs to suit electroforming to produce the highest performance cones.

Our cones are manufactured from nickel, copper, aluminium and feature copper cores and platinum tips. We have produced electroformed hole geometries down to 0.1mm with either parallel, tapered or curved sides.

Company History

Our cones were jointly developed in the early 1990s for use in the Turner Scientific SOLA. Since then, our design and manufacture techniques have been adopted by a number of major instrument manufacturers – to whom we still continue to be OEM supplier.

During 1999, we embarked on a major development programme that has enabled us to introduce a range of cones suitable for many of the popular instruments. Since 2002, cone production and sales have doubled with a selected number of distributors now selling our cones worldwide.

Over the years we have formed close links with instrument manufacturers with whom we work in the continuing development of their cones. Other than the basic cost of a cone we do not charge for development work.
