The SSMS came into being in late 2005 through the meeting of a like minded group of individuals keen to promote the knowledge and use of the many and varied aspects of mass spectrometry and its related sciences in and around Singapore. The society provides a forum for individuals to exchange views and ideas in this field as well as organizing meetings and seminars to increase awareness of new technologies and techniques.
The aim of the society is to encourage interaction between long term users and individuals who are new to the field and increase accessibility to expertise and information in what is a growing and dynamic field both globally and particularly in Singapore.
