TraceDetect, a Seattle-based company, was formed in 1998 to research and commercialize new chemical and optical sensors through reductions in electrode size made possible by microfabrication techniques. To that end, the Nano-Band™ electrode was developed for trace metals analysis, and specific software was designed to support several products. The commercialization of automated trace metals measurements instrumentation, using stripping voltammetry and the Nano-Band electrode are the primary foci of the company.
In Dec. 2014 AMS acquired assets from TraceDetect and transferred the design, support and development of the complete TraceDetect trace metals product range to the Aqua Metrology Systems (AMS) Research and Development Center located in Sunnyvale.
