The activities of Trans Tech Publications Inc. began back in 1967 when the first volume of the now famous "Diffusion Data" series was published. The series was later enlarged, and renamed "Diffusion and Defect Data", and this year it celebrated the publication of its 200th volume; a number which is now added to at the rate of 18 volumes per year. In the 39 years since the first volume of "Diffusion Data" was published, Trans Tech Publications Inc. has grown steadily and is now active in a wide range of disciplines: Materials Science and Engineering is still our most important field of activity and the series, "Materials Science Forum", "Key Engineering Materials", "Defect and Diffusion Forum" and "Solid State Phenomena", offer more than 20,000 pages of high-class research results per year.
Earth Sciences and Environmental Research are covered by our new series, "GeoResearch Forum" and "Environmental Research Forum", as well as by the well-established series on "Rock & Soil Mechanics".
Our Industrial Technology-oriented journals are "Powder Handling & Processing", and the celebrated "Bulk Solids Handling"; the world's front-runner in the field of transporting and storing bulk solids such as ores, grain and coal. In order to serve the world's science and engineering community better, Trans Tech Publications Inc. - and the associated Scitec Publications Ltd (which is also very active in various Internet publishing projects) - have established offices in Switzerland and the United States of America, and our products are available from numerous agents and distributors in all parts of the world.
In all of those fields in which we are active, we pride ourselves on being well-accepted by readers, authors and editors of conference proceedings alike (here are just some of the comments we have recently received and a List of Authors/Editors for whom Trans Tech Publications Inc. has recently published books.).
