ControlChart!Pro Plus was designed to meet what we call the "Two Minute Rule." What is the Two Minute Rule? This rule states that a user, with minimal training, must be able to open a program, provide the necessary information to the program, generate results and be finished within two minutes. For example, since most analytical personnel are familiar with spreadsheets, all data is entered into a spreadsheet-like interface. Calculations are automatically executed in this-data entry screen and displayed in real time, just like a spreadsheet. The user can then easily display the control chart with a minimum number of mouse clicks or keystrokes.
Among the many features of ControlChart!Pro Plus is the ability to get instant statistics on any set of data by clicking the "Show Stats" button on the front face of the datasheet. Do you want to see statistics on just certain records within the file? Simply highlight the appropriate records with your mouse and click "Show Stats" again. The number of records (n), Mean, Standard Deviation, Coefficient of Variation, Minimum, and Maximum are instantly displayed.
Don’t let the ease of use of this application fool you into believing there isn’t a full suite of features available to you for control charting. The balance between a program having a multitude of features and being easy to use was expertly implemented in ControlChart!Pro Plus. For example, included is a batch mode that will automatically graph control charts on as many analytes as you want with the correct format for each chart. These batch files can be saved and invoked simply by executing the batch file. Do you want to import files from and instrument report? ControlChart!Pro Plus has both copy and paste and full importing and exporting capability. By using the Windows Clipboard you can effortlessly include the actual control chart presentation directly in your word-processing report. The program generates accuracy and precision graphs using two different scaling methods: fixed interval and Shewhart X-bar (standard deviations). There are three different types of data that the program can plot: Reported Value data (plots just the values provided), Percent Recovery data (calculates percent recovery and then plots those values), and Absolute Difference (plots the calculated difference between replicate sets). Control charting protocols specified by ASTM, EPA, and Standard Methods have also been implemented and use the same language as specified in the analytical methods. Charts can be easily annotated with the title, subtitle, date, sample number, row, comments, etc.
There are several new features included in ControlChart!Pro Plus to make data entry, editing, and charting more efficient. Easily change from one worksheet type to another (i.e. an N=2 worksheet to an Absolute Difference table) which precludes entering data twice. Multiple analytes can be incorporated on a single worksheet file and charted. You can view both the chart and data simultaneously and see changes on the chart as data points are added or edited. Editing worksheets is easy! Automatic fill down and increment, drag and drop, insert rows or columns, and more are standard. You can build in your own custom calculations from a library of over 200 functions directly into the sheet just as you would in a spreadsheet program. Extensive run tests are provided to alert you if an analysis is out of control and histograms can be generated to inform you if your data is normally distributed. These features and many more make ControlChart!Pro Plus a complete Control Charting program for the analytical laboratory. The shear ease and speed with which control charts can be generated makes ControlChart!Pro Plus a very useful and enjoyable statistics package to use for both the sophisticated and less advanced user. ControlChart!Pro Plus is designed to help laboratories comply with the U.S. EPA’s Good Automation Laboratory Practice (GALP) and ISO, NELAC and other regulatory certifications!
Some of the ASTM, EPA, and Standard Methods available:
- EPA: Accuracy, Shewhart X-bar [Percent Recovery Data]
- EPA: Precision, %RSD [R chart with Relative SD]
- ASTM: X-bar Chart [chart for averages, "X-bar" refers to the symbol for the average or mean.]
- ASTM: R Chart [chart for ranges]
- Standard Methods: Means Chart [Shewhart X-bar Chart]
- Standard Methods: Range Chart [Shewhart R Chart]
- Many more...
Includes these features:
- Native 32 bit application
- Workbook support - store up to 256 worksheets in a single file.
- AutoFormulas for Spreadsheets
- Continuous Statistics Display
- Cell Locking
- MDI interface allows multiple open files.
- Cell context menu
- New tabbed interface features.
- The QC Inspector is CCPro+’s built-in data detective. The QC Inspector can be used to apply a set of QC Rules (sometimes called “run tests”) to the data set, and give you a report about the findings.
- Calculates t-Test to compare two means for equality.
- Calculates Process Capability Index (Cpk)
