No-Break Nebulizers are available in versions that are suited to all types of ICP instruments and through a range of aspirated uptakes from 20 µl/min. up to high uptakes of more than 2 ml/min. The Lucida is in a class apart from the others, since its aspirated uptake is below 10 µl/min. - a sample uptake so low that its primary aerosol at ambient conditions is barely visible to the unaided eye.
The Lucida can be used for :
- LC-ICP-MS and CE-ICP-MS, where its ultra-low aspiration matches eluent flow rates, and
- Quasi direct-Injection ICP, because its primary aerosol is so fine that it can be injected directly into the base of an ICP torch.
