ECX Nuclear Magnetic Resonance
The ECX series of NMR spectrometers is designed for any laboratory needing an easy-to-use, reliable, routine NMR system. The ECX NMR is available from 300 to 500 MHz field strengths. The system is designed around a modular digital NMR electronics chassis controlled from a high-performance Unix or Windows workstation and data acquisition system. The workstation and acquisition control system may be connected to a standard network allowing for seamless remote operation worldwide over the Internet or corporate Intranet.
The ECX system basic configuration consists of two broadband transmitters with one high frequency and one low frequency amplifier. The ECX can be expanded with up to 4 broadband RF transmitters and 3 RF amplifiers. Every transmitter has full digital control with an integrated waveform generator for phase, frequency and amplitude control. The ECX spectrometer comes standard with a 5mm high sensitivity broadband probe for both direct and indirect detection. Deuterium gradient shimming using the shim set is a standard feature of the ECX system. The ECX system can be optionally upgraded with a Z-axis pulsed field gradient amplifier and gradient probe.
The ECX NMR system is controlled by the JEOL Delta NMR software package. The DELTA software offers the user multiple levels of instrument control ranging from "one-button" macro automation up to full-access "hands-on" operation. A suite of predefined NMR automation experiment macros for data collection and processing is provided with each system. The DELTA software is also available for personal computers (Linux, Windows 2000 and Windows® XP).
A wide variety of optional attachments is available and include automatic sample changers, automatic tuning probes, inverse detection probes, microprobes, solid-state CP-MAS probes and optional RF amplifiers. A large selection of specialized triple nucleus NMR probes is also available.
