InfraLUM® FT-10 is a multipurpose near-IR FT spectrometer designed for laboratory analysis of various samples, such as food products, grains, fodder, and feed mixes. It is used for rapid (2 - 3 min) analysis of basic components of food products, such as proteins, fats, moisture, sugar, cellulose, starch, fibers, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, etc. Moreover, caloric content of food products, density and many other parameters of interest can be evaluated using this state-of-the-art machine. - Easy to operate - No operator training required
- Graphical user-friendly interface (Operates in Windows® 95/98, 2000, NT)
- Step-by-step menu
- High flexibility in analysis methods
- Accommodates most of chemometrics prediction algorithms
- Customizable analysis routines
- Integrated database system
- Innovative hardware
- NIR-transmission technique
- Built-in diagnostics
- Network capability
The measurements of composition and properties of samples are made using the near-IR absorption spectrum of a sample and mathematical pretreatement and calculating procedures included in the software package. Prior to the analysis, the device is calibrated using a training data set of samples with known values of reference chemical analyses. The analyzer is controlled by a dedicated SpectraLUM Pro software package, which enables to carry out routine analyses in a very simple dialogue mode. The software package offers ample scope for adjusting the instrument for specific applications, building calibrating databases, manipulation of spectral data, calculation and analysis of calibrating plots. No grain and flour sample preparation is necessary, pelletized feed may be only grinded before assaying. Routine analyses can be carried our even by an unskilled operator.
