Three control modes allow users to choose the level of automation suitable to their application. When used with a Merlin or Excalibur system, full computer control via RS232 allows any tray position to be sampled at any time, so blanks, calibrations and quality control standards can be checked during an analytical run. The instrument can also be interfaced to almost all commercially available AA, ICP, ICP/MS and DCP spectrometers through TTL control and a manually operated instrument is available. Different sized bottles can be fitted onto the same tray and PSA stocks a wide range of standard trays. Customised trays can also be manufactured to suit users' specific requirements. Sample carryover is minimised with a patented probe washer.
