The GDA 150 is a robust CCD glow discharge spectrometer widely used
in production for its depth profile analysis capabilities. It may be
equipped with up to 10 element channels and is designed for the needs
of small and medium size heat treating and coating companies. The
special benefits of the GDA 150 are:
- checking the surface after diffusion processes such as nitriding or even oxidizing
- monitoring electroplating processes
- analyzing hard coatings on PVD or CVD
- assessing hot-dip galvanized materials
The
ease of use, and high speed of measurements (between 30 seconds and a
maximum of 5 minutes), offer the possibility to adjust the production
process and avoid costly errors. These are important advantages over
conventional metallographic investigations that do not allow similar
corrections due to the relatively long period for sample preparation.
