The SPECTRUMA GDA 650 is an sensitive high-performance spectrometer
to determine the chemical composition of surfaces and coatings. The
instrument permits the fast determination of the composition and
thickness of technical coatings. All elements including the light ones
H, O, N and C may be determined quantitatively. Detection limits are
between 1 and 50 ppm, the depth resolution close to surface is
approximately 100 nm. Bulk analyses are also possible.
The
SPECTRUMA GDA 650 is equipped with a newly developed air-cooled
excitation source, allowing sputtering diameters between 1 to 4 mm. Due
to the small sealing ring of only 4 mm diameter, the analysis of small
and geometrically complicated samples is possible. For the analysis of
non-flat samples or very small samples a universal sample adapter is
available.
