Overcome the limitations currently encountered when using conventional GC methods for detailed sample characterization.
Product Detail Based on orthogonal separation principles, comprehensive GCxGC increases separation power by over a factor of 10 with respect to conventional chromatography. By virtue of this characteristic, this technique not only simplifies sample preparation procedures but also provides higher sensitivity, becoming the most suitable solution for the analysis of target compounds in complex matrices, as well as for detailed sample characterization.
Built on the well established TRACE™ GC Ultra platform, the TRACE GCxGC incorporates all its unique features, as well as inlet and detector technology, allowing it to exploit this technique in the most effective and reliable fashion.
- Solid State Proprietary Dual Jet CO2 Modulator
- Automatic Column Characterization
- Dedicated GCxGC HyperChrom Software
- Complete Capillary Injector Range and Injection Modes
- Fast Detector’s Electronics (FFID)
Target Applications
Due to its high degree of separation efficiency, the comprehensive GCxGC technique is the most suitable technique for solving problems related to:
- Fast and complete sample screening
- Determination of low concentration components in complex matrices
- Exhaustive sample characterization
HyperChrom GCxGC Data Interpretation Software
For full featured, easy to interpret comprehensive GCxGC information
- Color Plot Visualization
- 3D Visualization
- Reconstruction of the First Dimension Chromatogram
- GCxGC Quantitation
- GCxGC Identification
Automatic component integration and identification as well as automatic component table compiling: data processing can be carried out in seconds even for chromatograms displaying more than 20,000 peaks. Peak grouping by family, standard or customized reports, visual display of the located peaks and 3D rotating peak display are just some of the additional features.
The TRACE GCxGC is configured with a special set-up consisting of two columns displaying different physical properties (“orthogonal” separation). This provides a higher degree of modulator control. The chromatograph\'s resolving power is increased by a factor of ten compared to conventional GC methods.
The TRACE GCxGC improves both qualitative and quantitative analyses by “ordering” compounds according to their chemical and physical properties. The results are presented in a structured 3-D chromatogram and identification is based on a set of retention times.
The TRACE GCxGC is available in three different versions that can all be upgraded to enable large sample volume introduction:
- TRACE GCxGC Split/Splitless/Flame Ionization Detector
- TRACE GCxGC Programmable Temperature Vaporization (PTV)/Flame Ionization Detector
- TRACE GCxGC On-column/Flame Ionization Detector
