Description
Building and Environment is an international journal that publishes original papers and review articles on research, technology, and tool development related to building science and human interaction with the built environment, as well as their applications to building design and operation. The scope of the journal includes:
- The environmental performance of buildings, building systems, and components
- Development or applications of computer models, techniques, equipment, and systems for the assessment, design, operation, and/or maintenance of energy-efficient built environments and systems
- Human responses to the physical environment (thermal comfort, air quality, acoustic comfort, and visual comfort) in and around buildings, in transport vehicles, and in other enclosed spaces
- Productivity and health impact related to built environments
- Research on personalized, healthy, secure, comfortable, and productive built environments with low energy and environmental impacts
- Technologies, paradigms, and strategies for sustainable development of built environments
- Integration of international technology and universal knowledge with local social and cultural traditions for building design and operation
- The philosophy and policies of building research and architectural science
