Description
Journal of Hazardous Materials Advances publishes cutting-edge research and technology developments for environmental science and engineering community such as the methodologies for the identification of hazardous materials or emerging contaminants, the studies of their fate and behavior in the environment, biogeochemical cycle, as well as their impacts in ecosystems, public health, one health and mitigation strategies. Journal of Hazardous Materials Advances publishes original research papers, short communications, and critical reviews, perspectives, and original research papers. The topic categories for articles are as follows: Methods or techniques for the detection of hazardous materials such as legacy environmental pollutants and emerging contaminants. Characterization of hazardous materials and emerging contaminants in all the environmental compartments or media, including partitioning, transport, transformation and degradation in natural biogeochemical and engineered processes. Assessment of impact of hazardous materials and emerging contaminants in ecosystem's and public health Assessment of threats to health and ecosystems while addressing collective need for clean air, water, and soil, safe food Development of technologies and processes for pollution mitigation and treatment Sustainable resource recovery, material diversion and reuse for pollution prevention
