Description
The journal's scope is intentionally broad, covering all aspects of the production of materials or the properties or applications of materials related to materials for healthcare and biomedicine, materials at the biointerface, or biomimetic, bio-inspired or natural materials. Submissions to the journal should contain chemistry in a materials context and can be theoretical and/or experimental studies. The novelty and advance should be focused on either the chemistry used to produce the materials, or on the properties or applications of the materials produced. Work submitted that is outside of these criteria will not usually be considered for publication. Topics include the following. - Antifouling coatings
- Biocompatible materials
- Bioelectronics
- Bioimaging
- Biomimetics
- Biomineralisation
- Bionics
- Biosensors
- Diagnostics
- Drug delivery
- Gene delivery
- Immunobiology
- Nanomedicine
- Regenerative medicine
- Scaffolds
- Soft robotics
- Stem cells
- Therapeutic devices
- Tissue engineering
