Interests:
Our research is directed to the determination of trace contaminants in hemodialysis fluids and solutions for parenteral nutrition. The research also involves the development of procedures for trace enrichment and sample clean up for the analysis of biological fluids.Lately our interest has been directed to the interaction of aluminium with amino acids and other low molecular mass ligands, and its distribution in the human body.
Instrumentation:
Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, with flame, graphite furnace and hydride generation
Chromatographs with UV/vis, amperometric, fluorimetric and conductivity detection
Polarographs
