Role of essential and toxic trace elements in etiology of common human diseases.
Molecular mechanisms of toxic and carcinogenic effects of metals and metalloids with focus on environmental arsenic; role of diet or specific nutrients in modulation or prevention of these effects.
Modulation of the therapeutic efficacy or toxic side effects of metal-containing drugs by diet or specific nutrients.
Development of analytical techniques for identification of biomarkers of health effects of the essential and toxic trace elements.
