BNASS (Biennial National Atomic Spectroscopy Symposium) is now 31 years old. There have been some tremendous changes in atomic spectroscopy over this period. These advances have been showcased at BNASS, which has built an international reputation for both the quality of the science presented and the unique style of the symposium, enabling delegates to meet and discuss issues in a social setting.
For the 16th BNASS you are invited to the historic city of Guildford in the south east of England. This three-day conference at the University of Surrey (the birthplace of ICP-MS) will focus on some of the most current research and advances made in atomic spectroscopy. There will be lecture and poster sessions featuring fundamental developments and applications in areas of biological and environmental sciences, nanotechnology and speciation analysis

BNASS provides an ideal forum to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge in analytical atomic spectroscopy. The
meeting will include a mix of established and younger speakers, and the
organisers would especially like to encourage young researchers to
present their results in short oral presentations within each of the
topic sessions. Following from the successful introduction at
the 15th BNASS, the programme will include User Group Meetings as an
integral part of the programme. A limited number of bursaries are available to research students. See Bursaries page for details.
