The organisers of the 34th edition of the Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI XXXIV) kindly invite you to attend this outstanding scientific conference.
Since the first one in this series (France, 1949), CSI has established itself as the premier forum for presentation and discussion of new developments in all branches of analytical spectroscopy. The aim of this conference is to allow spectroscopists from around the world to enhance contacts and exchange experiences.

Aims and scope
Following the tradition of the preceding CSI conferences, emphasis
will be on new developments and applications of spectroscopy in
analytical chemistry. We hope to provide you with an interesting
scientific programme and to organise a conference that will stimulate
collaboration and exchange of experiences and information.
Programme
The programme will consist of invited plenary lectures, oral contributions in parallel sessions introduced by invited speakers, and poster sessions. Your active participation and contributions are highly appreciated. Oral and poster contributions are welcomed on subjects within the scope of the conference, namely: Spectroscopic techniques and methodologies, including:
- Atomic plasma spectrometry (ICP, GD, AAS, etc.)
- Molecular spectroscopy (UV-Vis, NMR, Raman, IR, etc.)
- Organic and inorganic mass spectrometry
- X-ray spectrometry (XRF, XRD, XANES, PIXE, etc.)
- Hybrid techniques
- Laser technologies
- Imaging techniques
- Quality control and chemometry
- Applications of spectroscopy, e.g. in:
- Materials and industrial processes
- Environmental and geochemical analysis
- Archaeometry and cultural heritage
- Biological and food analysis
- Clinical and pharmaceutical analysis
- Speciation
- Micro, surface and interface analysis
- Mass spectrometry in post-genomics and proteomics
- On-line analysis
- Miniaturisation and nano-technology
- Actinides in the environment
