Sponsored by Thermo Electron, Elemental Scientific (ESI), Cetac, and New Wave Research

This international conference is the continuation of the successful meetings held in Norfolk, Virginia-USA (2000), Vienna, Austria (2001), Atlanta, Georgia-USA (2002), and Venice, Italy (2003).

The Omaha conference will feature topics related to methods and techniques for introducing solid and liquid samples to single and multicollector magnetic sector ICPMS instruments for elemental and isotopic analysis. A session is also planned for chromatography interfaced with magnetic sector ICPMS. There are now more than 350 single collector and 100 multicollector magnetic sector ICP mass spectrometers around the world.

This meeting is organized to bring together research and industrial users of magnetic sector ICP mass spectrometers for the exchange of ideas and the presentation of work completed or in progress; for comment and discussion among international research groups; and for meeting with manufacturer representatives to discuss future goals and instrumentation improvements.

Central Topics of the Meeting:

Liquid sample introduction topics (desolvation, low flow vs high flow, nebulizer types, spray chambers, etc.)
Chromatography coupled to magnetic sector ICPMS
Laser ablation solid sampling for magnetic sector ICPMS.
Field trips to ESI and Cetac facilities are available.

It is our intention to run this conference without registration fee for ICPMS users.
