Your tasks:

Your activities in Working Group 3.22 (Speciation Analysis) will include:

  • Examining the influence of biological modifications of cardiac troponin on measurement results of routine methods
  • Developing a method for identifying and quantifying modifications of cardiac troponin using mass spectrometry
  • Developing and characterizing potential calibration and control material for the modifications of cardiac troponin
  • Independently planning, performing and assessing measurements
  • Participating in an international project team in close collaboration with our project partners in Türkiye
  • Presenting and publishing the research results

 

Your profile:

  • You have completed your university studies (master’s degree or German Diplom) in chemistry with a focus on analytical or clinical chemistry, biochemistry or a comparable discipline with an overall grade of “very good” or the equivalent for non-German degrees.
  • You have a working knowledge of instrumental analysis, especially in mass spectrometry (ESI-MS, ICP-MS), chromatographic separation methods, quantification methods and statistical evaluation.
  • You will ideally have knowledge of protein analysis.
  • You have the commitment and ability to work independently and have a well-structured working style.
  • You are a strong team player and have good communication skills.
  • You have an excellent command of German (C1 level) and a good command of English (B2 level).
  • You are willing to travel for work both in Germany and abroad.
  • You are physically able to work in a chemistry laboratory.
