NEMC 2005: 21st National Environmental Monitoring Conference
The National Environmental Monitoring Conference provides you a forum for addressing policy and technical issues that affect monitoring in all media and across all environmental programs.
NEMC is managed by the Independent Laboratories Institute (ILI) in association with the American Council of Independent Laboratories (ACIL) and Earl Hansen, ILI Chairman, under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
The conference brings together scientists, analysts, engineers and managers from Federal and State agencies, the regulated community, and the laboratory and engineering support communities in an informal setting in the heart of our nation's capital.

This is the most important conference of the year if you are involved in procuring, generating, or using environmental analytical data. NEMC brings together scientists, analysts, engineers and managers from Federal and State agencies, the regulated community, and from the laboratory and engineering support communities in an informal setting on the edge of our nation's capital.
Mark your calendars (and bookmark this web site) and plan to attend if you:
- are in a regulated industry that must conduct compliance monitoring;
- are responsible for conducting environmental analyses or managing a laboratory;
- are involved in procuring environmental analyses from commercial laboratories;
- are involved in the development or evaluation of environmental monitoring technologies.
Along with 100 oral and poster presentations in this year’s conference, there will be optional short courses. With a growing Table Top Exhibition, this conference promises to be one of the most important technical events of the year for the laboratory industry and its clients.
